The Exhalted Height
Rabbun ʿaẓīmun tajallā
Bidhikrihi yasjudu lahu an-nāsu wa yaqūlūna: taʿālā
Wa ʿindahu sidratu al-muntahā
Ka’anna ad-dunyā khātamun fī falāh
Wa idhā qaḍā rabbuka bil-fanā’
Fa mā laka min naṣīrin wa kalāmu rabbika qad inqaḍā
A mighty Lord revealed in radiant light,
At His remembrance, souls bow down in sight,
And voices rise, declaring Him Most High,
Exalted far beyond the earth and sky.
With Him the farthest boundary is known,
Where all the world seems small, a ring alone—
Cast in the vast and endless open air,
Diminished, lost, as if it were not there.
And when your Lord decrees the end for all,
No aid remains to answer to your call,
His Word fulfilled, its course now carried through,
None can resist—there’s none to turn to.
The Revelations of Generosity
Jalāluhu kamathali noorin fil-fadā’
Wa kalāmuhu mithlu kalāmin battin fil-qaḍā’
Fa fī āyihi al-kitābu mubīn
Wa fī qur’ānihi ʿitrun murīḥ
Wa injīluhu zahrun masīḥ
Wa tawrātuhu hudan khafīf
Fa lā tukadhdhibū bihi wa lā qalīl
Fa huwa Allāhu ar-rabbu al-ʿaẓīm
His majesty is like a light in open space,
His word a final decree none can erase.
Within His signs, a Book made clear and bright,
And in the Qur’an—a fragrance to the soul's light.
His Gospel blooms like a flower in spring,
His Torah brings guidance, a gentle thing.
So do not deny it, not even a slight,
For He is God, the Lord of infinite might.
The Majesticly Perfected (He/ as God)
Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar
Rīḥu dhikrihi mithlu al-ʿanbar
Wa idhā ṣaʿida ash-shaykhu al-minbar
Lawajadta al-malā’ikata tasjudu kal-minqār
Li kalāmi rabbihim lā ghayr
Fa huwa mubārakun yahdī ilā al-khayr
Wa ya’muru bil-maʿrūfi li-ghayr
Fa tafakkar fī āyātihi wal-ghayb
Fa wallāhi lan tarā fīhi ʿayb
God is the Greatest—God is the Greatest proclaimed,
His remembrance like amber, sweetly named.
And when the elder rises to the stand,
The angels bow at what the Lord has planned.
They heed no voice but their Creator’s word,
A blessed command by which all good is heard.
He calls to virtue, to the path of light,
Reflect on His signs beyond mortal sight.
By God, within it no flaw shall remain—
Perfection alone in His divine domain.
