Trapped in a snow globe
I attempt to look outside
only to see my own reflection
through your own eyes.
Has this been how I always
have looked ? Unknowingly,
like wisdom speaks to me
every night in my dreams.
My sloppy presence looking
neat to the (un)trained eye,
hiding in plain sight
so you will see my deceit.
Let me count these snowflakes
as they melt into our love,
so cold it cannot freeze
water nor loneliness.
Your reflection
looking back
at me
as so
does mine
staring yours
in the eyes.
