Waking up illegally

Every night when I close my eyes
the same thought pops up in my head:
what if I would wake up tomorrow
without my physical eyes at home,
empty eye sockets, no more sight.

The act of waking up illegally
notifying the feds, to storm my place.
-knock knock- Who’s there ?
FBI OPEN UP unexpected house visit
the social service they appear to be.

They aren’t here to help me out
but to violently force their ways upon me.
Sir, you have violated amendment five
of the Visionary Act on human sight.
You are sentenced to waking up forcefully.

Ever since, I always keep some spare
googly eyes resting on my night stand.
