“Bouquet of decaying flowers”

And so she threw them into the crowd
The decaying flowers
To the people who rejected

And just like the cares she once had
The petals fell
And flew into the air

By the time they hit the floor
Everyone was gone
As were the flowers

I can already imagine a funeral just from reading the two first paragraphs

The goal was to mirror a funeral and a wedding

I also feel like that she was treated badly by the people who are dead now, like she still acted kind no matter how they treated her when they were alive

drowsy forge
#

so the people who rejected her visited her wedding?

So honestly it’s both a wedding and a funeral

I'm more of a fiction storyteller than a poet, so most of the time, I dont just drop few lines when I try poetry, my attempted poems are more longer, maybe way too long

it'S not a critique I swear-

My latest poem also uses flowers tho it's more metaphoric and symbolic maybe, so I got interested in reading your poem to see. You talking about being obsessed with dead flowers caught my attention🌹

drowsy forge
#

I be seeing them on media

#

Oh nvm, I asked an obvious question, oh god
