possess my liver,
i am yours to claim;
a glance to suffice—
my lord, my god
what binds me of humanity,
carry my anger with you,
uproot me of my passions,
conquer my being.
a heart is but of naught,
shallow and fragile organ,
bound to fail you,
such will never satiate.
in an attempt to betray you,
i fail, i fail, and i fail once more,
ignorance has what has become of me,
for what have i forsaken myself for?
simplicity—all there is,
tender voice of yours,
essence bleeding into the heavens,
fall to make weight on threshold of the sinner.
master of my undoing:
invert my philosophy,
carve me out of my bedrock,
my lord, my god.
