#why i dont picture leaves

frozen in green
a watch ticks as a leaf trick—
trickles down a freckled frown
of dark jade spots, and an ISO font
"a leaf falls on loneliness"
writ the poet lo!
the caption remained
frozen in green it glows
a watch ticks as a leaf trickles
down
i shivered
—or was that a shutter?
a willow stretched out her arms
light yellow breeze sounded
no alarms
a leaf fell on loneliness
a willow frozen in green
green eyes of glass,
a cameras windlass
a willow frozen in green
and fog and haze and grain
with a refrain:
a leaf falls on loneliness
as sun-flares flare the lenses
into pixel consciousness
a leaf condenses
into pixels and selective thought
a leaf falls on rot
and though it sought
immortality it has not!
a leaf falls in motion
yet the picture is still
a leaf falls with a notion
of it's dying will
will willows weep a shrill
perched upon a yellow hill?
will a leaf fall on loneliness?
writ the poets quill
digitized undeath
when a shutter captures a leaf
shall i digress?
