What benefits do you think journaling consistently for the average person? What are your goals that you hope Journaling could help achieve, and what are some general life goals you have?

Response:

I think that Journaling tends to help people be more self aware, have better sleep quality, and overall help people be more mature and mentally well. As for my goals with Journaling, I hope that it helps to boost my self esteem by having evidence of the good deeds I've done/see how far I've come. My general life goal is to make the world a little better than before I joined it so that my life was impactful to others- think, "It's a wonderful life". This way, I have reasons to stay alive that aren't just to be alive for the sake of my family but because the world needs me to help fix it in the small ways that I can.

Your goal is to do at least ONE good act of service/kindness and journal about it.

What was your act of service? How did it impact those around you? How did it make you feel?

I will come back and write my response later. I'm going to be working housesitting jobs all week, so I can't really do anything that requires me to leave home.

alrighty, so, to respond to the last prompt, this morning I just donated $10 to the Trevor project (saving LGBTQ+ youth from suicide) and another $10 to RAICES which is a non profit that supports people that were put in U.S immigration detention centers to receive free legal representation. These causes are important to me because I have lost a former partner to suicide back in 2020 and he never got to grow up past 16 🙁 . Also, my boyfriend is a Mexican-American and I fear for his safety despite him being a legal American because they can still detain him and not give him a court case to prove he's American. I also have sympathy for "illegal" immigrants as well but I won't get into it. But even though it wasn't much money, I'm still trying to make an impact by helping to keep these nonprofits afloat so they can continue to help countless people. Knowing that I'm doing more than just complain about these issues helps me feel useful/productive/ a part of making the changes I'd like to see in the world.
