Far above the moon, I drift away from the world,
a voyager sailing down the unending river of stars,
floating in an abyss woven from stygian darkness.
Basking in the starlight, I am still,
for there's nothing left to do,
but sit in placid silence;
waiting amongst the galaxies,
for a moment,
I am
In a split second, a sharp pain blinds my eyes,
and the heart of the world shatters before me,
it gasps for air, falters, and collapses infinitely,
before bleeding out brilliant streaks of light
in a final florescence of radiance.
The light swallows the earth,
naught but a casualty,
its tapestry unravelled,
laid bare,
eternally
Is the sky forever changed, or one and the same?
Clouds bloom and shimmer in the wake of death,
like glasfeders, penning new beginnings i won't witness,
singing in a language i'll never understand.
Yet, I find myself humming along;
the cosmos mine to savour,
the stars her eyes,
breathtaking as always,
my love.
