Sometimes i wonder why the things that happen to you dont happen to me
why couldn’t the lord see
your so much better than what i could be
we had to fight back
against their attacks
just so you could lay down
while im on a spree of pain
screaming in agony
again and again
even though im under strain
and he left me with no remains of
the pain you contain
it doesn’t matter because youre not
id take a hundred blood clots then see you in this state of mind again
depression is a real thing
a shadow that steals your wings,
but I’ll stay here through everything.
If the world makes your heartbeat sting,
I’ll carry whatever tomorrow brings
just so you don’t feel that pain within.
