Some say beauty rests in the color of skin,
Others say it glows from the brightness within.
The blind find beauty in the visions of humans, while dreamers seek minds to match their own tune-ins.
The rich may crave the warmth of true relation, while the poor may yearn for wealth’s salvation.

We each crave the things that lie out of reach. Oh, what a fool to see but not touch,
to touch but not taste, to taste but not breach.
A man may have but one lifetime if fate walks beside him, and if not, why sit and bide your life away?
O God, forgive us for grasping what we should not hold, for wandering in the maze of “what could have been."
We were born with purpose this I know
yet to test us, You placed pleasures
along this road of cold.

Oh, you should know by now,
this life is yours to shape as you please.
But as Icarus soared to heights he could not resist, so too will you fall, knowing you once touched the sun… though at what cost? Indulge in what is allowed, and no more, if you seek a haven in the life to come. But if you prefer the shadows you stand in now, then hold to them, for the price will be yours alone to pay.

In the end, the sun forgets who chased it,
and none shall remember your name.
For indeed, your actions will stand,
but will be a taboo among those who remain.
We all may be Icarus,
trying to find our limits…
Yet in that chase, we oft forget our own names.
’Tis not just a warning, but it is life.
Do what you want, in the end, there will always be sacrifice.
And now, thee who read…
heed no advice, but know your path is foiled by none other than your demise.
