Past the horizon, final rays of light
In the sky, stars shined bright but, no longer
Once, we looked up at them struck by wonder
But now as you gaze deep into the night
It is now all black, nothing there in sight
The silence sounds ever so much louder
It draws on and on, further and further
In your life did you do anything right?

Missed opportunities fill your whole mind
Words you should have said more, lost forever
Now you lie there in deep dark and regret
Why do we let ourselves live our life blind
We live our lives like it would end never
Only upon death life's meaning is set

It unfolds as a gripping meditation on longing, betrayal, and the descent into emotional chaos.

#

It begins with a soul craving recognition, spiraling through heartbreak and obsession until it collides with violent desperation.

#

It’s a devastatingly human portrait of emotional blindness, self-destruction, and the haunting clarity that comes too late. You’ve captured that unravelling with chilling elegance.

Damn that was pretty in depth
I love your interpretation, the poem was made to be heavily interpretive so I'm glad that checks out
And thank you very much for telling me! I'm glad I did Good
