If all of the good people disappeared

One day
Typical and normal
Nothing particularly different about this day

All of them disappeared
Poof and gone away

Every good person in the world
Vanished
Not in a flash of light
Not dramatic

Underwhelming

No Angels came to take them
No holy son appeared

They all just went

Never coming back

So what is left
Right is gone

All taken from us
We that remain
All of us in pain
Those who have done wrong
Left behind alone
We
now
all
know
why we are here

A new world
Made up of those who are bad

In this new place, of bad not good
What are we to do?
Knowing there's only me and only you
Every face you look at you'll question
Why are they still here?

And even though you know the answer
Nothing will quench your fear.

All the good is gone away
Enter a hateful world
Ignore it
Dismiss it
It won't go away

Is this now hell?
Is it punishment?

Or a warning of what could be, if all the good people disappeared.

Genesis 6 comes to mind. This is an excellent poem rich with philosophy and sits the reader down to imagine
