Love was what you wanted
So you played your role in an ordinary love song
Slowly realizing each worn out lyric
Strayed you closer to the unknown

He improvised
You went along
Until for worse, he changed the ending
To an ordinary love song

The melody was allegedly perfect
You instantly become a fan
A happy ever after chorus, anticipated
But stood you up with a guitar in your hand

Your cadence fell out of sync with his
It was clear he didn't belong
Why must you try to sing along
To those who aren't compatible with an ordinary love song

I know I know, here we go again
Strumming a familiar tune
And with every worn out lyric
You began to get Deja vu

As I get closer to the end
You anticipate it all going wrong
I can see why it's hard to believe
In another love song

You struggle to pick back up your guitar
Your broken heart deems it a risk
But I dare you to stick around
For an unexpected plot twist

This is what you always wanted
Why must you hesitate to sing along
For the sake of a forgotten ordinary dream
Take a chance on another love song

I understand, a couple that grew distant or fell out of love while (the girl) tried to stay as long as she could. Now she needs to struggle with the prospect of doing it all over again. I like it! Strong story! only thing id say is maybe work on flow a bit more or maybe just punctuation? some parts just feel like they cut off. overall great work! :)

I love how you described love using the guitar and music in general
