Loving someone is way more drowning than having hatred weighing you down when it comes to them.
Always the one who loves, but yet is never loved back but only weighed down by false hope and broken dreams.
Do I happen to want what's best for people?
Friends?
Family?
Future spouse?
Yes…yes I do want what's best for them.
I try hard,
I try really hard,
I give my best efforts, or at least try to in my eyes…
But none sees it.
Everyone looks so high and mighty…blinded as if perfection exists.
No.
No, perfection does not exist.
Nothing…nothing but an illusion that people believe in.
I accepted all the Imperfections this world had offered me and my broken heart.
Do I happen to unlock my heart so easily? Or am I just easy to manipulate?
To answer both, it just depends on who'd give their all in complete truth when it comes to me and the heart to which I stand guard of.
I may never be loved, but that won’t stop me from loving them.
My aching soul.
My aching soul is the only thing I can return.
My aching soul is all I have left in this broken world of men abusing their wives and women being unfaithful to their spouses.
My aching soul.
My aching heart.
My aching mind as I drown within it's walls that keep in the pain that I shut away from others.

I think it is good that you repeat the idea of drowning throughout the poem. I really loved the end part, where you repeat "aching" over and over again. The word really impresses the mind upon reading it many times.

You really like this poem? 😆

# nocturne nymph You really like this poem? 😆

It is easier for me to read sing-songy poems that rely more heavily on meter and rhyme. I prefer that type of poem, but I think this one has great merits to it, not the least of which is that you poured your heart into writing it.
