*With fingers light,
And pockets wide,
The thief walks through the velvety blue sky,
Stealing glimpses of the luminous stars above,
Looking at them with their soft,
Tender eyes.

They ascended up,
Pocketing the precious jewels that glare,
One by one with gentle care,
As the sky became bare.

Their pockets were filled to the brim,
As the moon hung low and dim,
Smiling, granting every dream,
Shooting beams of pure,
Silver gleam.*

I have not that much time to write a full comment on what I liked, sitting still in school.

But I definitely love that you used they/them pronouns for the thieve.

equating stolen glances of the night sky to thievery gives great insight to the mental state of the 'thief' excellent job bless
