-He Swore-
The sun glistens on the lake,
As the bell rings,
After years of await,
The Beast turns into a King!
Oh! He founded her,
a true Beauty named Belle,
Found her as his Prisoner,
Now they're both happily wed!
They did their vows,
He kissed her lips,
He whispered to her; he swore,
"I would love you always; I swear I always will..."
Through their highs and lows,
Together they stayed,
But once Belle got old,
Her beauty began to fade...
The Beast enraged by this,
Locked her in a cage,
He made his Queen,
His Prisoner once again.
Belle cried and screamed,
Cursed herself for getting old,
After everything she never blamed him,
How could she, after what he had swore?
She waited for days for her King to arrive,
But days turned to months...
The land knew that Belle would soon die,
The birds forgot to chirp.
At last the time had come,
So Belle sent her final prayer,
She begged the gods to let her see her beloved,
But the gods could only send her pity and tears,
As the Beast never was her love,
They feared...
His vows were never as true as they seemed,
Maybe it was just a trance,
Maybe he always was a Beast,
Afterall how could this be a man?
