I was in quite a down mood earlier, and your poem to me is like a sign to me that I should keep going in life - never giving up to the hardships life will always offer. Your poem here has a very beautiful moral, to me at least, how I see it :D

The rhyme scheme is much like the ones I use in my poems, especially the quintet. And your words flow quite nicely. <3

I also enjoyed the general references to Icarus and the Pegasus - they really add to the significant impact of the poem!

Very nicely written :D

The poem presents a powerful message centered around a human ambition, perseverance, and defiance against fate, something that many rebellious wish to try out.

It draws from both mythological and nautical imagery, offering a grand metaphor signalling humanity's relentless pursuit of greatness, despite obstacles or warnings from external forces.

Your theme of persistence in the face of challenges, captures the essence of resilience. Despite the fact that "the world cannot be controlled by us" the speaker insists that humans never lose hope, even when confronted with the storms of life, both literal and figurative. This really tightens the theme of perservancs throughout the poem!

Ill take that as a compliment😂

I know just the poem to ping you in, it's not my 771 word one, but it's fairly close to the length of your poem here! Just to make it fair. And it's also written in a classical style

And again, I enjoyed this poem a lot :>
It's one of the few poems I've enjoyed in a while in this server

@hollow otter Beautiful imagery. I love the philosophical message of challenging societies dependence on religious concepts to define their moral values. It is a subtle but beautiful challenge to religion, a solemn reflection of the human condition, and with a strong individualist Nietzschen undertones.
