She who washes away pain
“A pitiful and abominable fib,”
A lie said by those speaking with disdain.

Now, the children laugh and play,
Bathing in the gentle touch of the sun,
Because of she who washes away pain.

Now, the moon lights a fire beneath the sunrays
Apollo–the bright one–grows inspired by the beauty,
Because of she who washes away pain.

Soon, Selene fades away into a whisper
Her kin mourn, as the rest follow suit
Achelois could only weep for her.

The moon was once three,
Though, as Chronos keeps the world spinning,
No one can do anything, not even plea

The bodies of the gods are pristine,
Unlike the personas they possess, and the chaos they spread.
“She who washes away pain”,
A lie said by those speaking with disdain.
