The king and the fool / one on the throne, one on the stool / one wears a crown, one is a clown / two sides of the same coin // For the royal made his bones / mustered men to fight his foes / stood tall looked straight at his enemy / and brought him to catastrophe // Since that day, he's been shadowed / by this other man whose jokes / slay folks in humorous limericks / he becomes a growing shadow of the king // As the king grows thin / his head balds and he forgets / nearly all the duties of the realm / while the fool continues to ridicule him //
