#Losing someone you loved

This is beautiful
I don't know if this is just creative poetry, or if you write this from experience, but either way, I think it's incredibly sweet
I don't wanna step on your creative toes or anything, but I'm just gonna change up some lines and move some words around to fit the meter I might have used
And you can pick and choose from them as you please, or you can dismiss it entirely, as this is solely your poem
In twilight's hush, my heart doth ache
With sorrow's weight, my spirit breaks
For one I loved, now lost to fate
My soul in grief, it undertakes
Joyful memoir lingers still
But like a shade, it fades and chills
The pain of loss, it gnaws and claws
Leaving scars that never heal
The tears I've cried, they fall like rain
Blurring lines, 'tween joy and pain
The ache of longing, never fades--
Reminder constant, what's been made
In dreams, I see their smile bright
But wake to darkest, endless night
The void they left, echoes within
A hollow space, where love did spin
The world moves on, how cruel a game
For me, time holds me, holding pain
The loss of you, it cuts so deep
A wound I cannot put to sleep
I'm sorry for your loss. I'm thankful that you chose to put your feelings into poetry, because it seems like you're still hurting
And perhaps your creative process can help you heal
