My Dark Brown Eyes
Today, you called them Beautiful
Pretty
And said they shine like stars in the night sky
I paused
Confused on why you said that
Because I only saw how beautiful sea blue eyes looked
and pretty green eyes
So I paused in silence when,
You said my brown eyes were pretty
not ugly
or plain
You called them pretty
And you just don't know how much that meant to me
So I swallowed up my incoming tears
And said
Thank You

I love this

It’s a very good analogy on confidence and viewpoint, being that although someone may think they aren’t “pretty” or feel “plain” when in reality to some people they are the opposing side of their views. Atleast that’s what I took from this poem
