Don’t you want to know why the dove said goodbye,
To the morning and the night and all passers by.
It waved to the wind and thanked for the hand,
But too little it knew and not enough planned.
It sighed as it’s wings brought joy to the breeze
She soared past the lovers and sneered with such ease.
It’s difficult to leave a passion so true,
But the mockingbird came and lied to me too.

I like the rhyme scheme I also like how each line is quite lamentful. The imagery is nicely created and there is a flow to the poem that makes it pleasant and aesthetic - however this is slightly disrupted in the second line by the repetition of and, you can just remove the first one. But overall it's a wonderful poem

Thanks! I quite often have a habit of repetition, as I personally really love it. But I do see what you mean, it’s quite an unnecessary repeat

The original line was slightly different (I have deleted it and can’t quite remember what it was) but it had a slightly different flow to it, which I think I got rid of by replacing it
