📱 Hey there! I have a suggestion to enhance the "monthly competitions and events" on our poetry server. Let's perfect this art form together!

✨ Ensuring Continuity:
To maintain a consistent flow of events, I propose establishing fixed dates for our competitions. By specifying the start (within the first five days) and end (within the last five days) of each month, we can eliminate any confusion that may arise when a competition spans across two months. This approach will ensure a smooth experience for both participants and judges, allowing them to plan and engage more effectively.

📝 Contest-based Tags:
In order to provide a better analytical view of the poems and creations, let's incorporate contest-based tags within the dedicated post channel. This means including specific tags for each contest,** allowing participants, voters, and judges to easily navigate and identify the submissions** associated with each competition. This approach will not only streamline the reviewing process but also enable participants to appreciate and compare entries more efficiently.

👥 Engaging Contest Judges:
To create a more inclusive and collaborative evaluation process, I suggest involving multiple judges in the competitions. Rather than relying solely on one person, a panel of judges can bring diverse perspectives and expertise to the table. To ensure judges are well-informed and up-to-date, we can periodically share statistics on the number of poems submitted, analyzed, and rejected. Additionally, providing judges with insights on the event's theme and the overall progress will help them evaluate submissions more effectively.

🎭 Unique Event Themes: Let's make each contest memorable and distinctive by incorporating World-event-based themes. For example, during Pride Month in June, we can explore themes related to LGBTQ+ experiences, identity, and empowerment. Similarly, for April, we can focus on celebrating and understanding World Cultures, encouraging participants to draw inspiration from various global traditions and perspectives. By introducing different themes for each contest, we keep our competitions fresh, exciting, and aligned with significant events or causes.

🏆 Revamping the Prize System: While our competitions are meant to be fun and engaging, adding a competitive element can further enhance the experience. To foster a sense of healthy competition, let's introduce tangible prizes within the server. These prizes can include level-ups, unique color roles, and even Discord currency (such as owo or Dankmemer coins) based on the rankings of participants. Furthermore, winners can be granted access to exclusive channels, where they can connect with fellow poets and share their work. As the server grows, we can consider expanding the prize pool to include Nitro gifting, making the competitions even more enticing.

💌 Final Thoughts: this poetry server has the potential to be a hub of creativity. By implementing these suggested changes, we can attract a larger audience and make our competitions more captivating. While I understand that it's just a suggestion and the final decision lies with the owner/admins, I believe that incorporating these ideas will bring positive changes to our poetic community. Let's work together to elevate our competitions and events to new heights!

I do feel like adding a currency to this server is a bad idea

It's not a server currency, but fake ones on discord bots that work around whole discord

And also that was just an example.

I want to encourage conversation, here are my thoughts, feel free to comment!

Dates: Those were planned. However, with internal complications regarding judge participation, stuff was a bit rough and off-track this time.
Tags: Due to how Discord works, it is more work for judges to have to click into each submission, instead of viewing them by scrolling. However, it is helpful in a sense to separate competitions.
Judges: We have multiple judges, but as we are a relatively small Discord community with volunteers and limited recognition, it just isn't really feasible to do so. This was the reason we resorted to community-based voting. Unfortunately, that did not work due to the low amount of votes.
Themes: We have been incorporating themes relating to current events/time. We're open to suggestions, though.
Prizes: The current 'prize' is a Discord role, though it would be cool to see something more added. I like the suggestions.
