#Where to Start??

Here are my tips:
- write down what you wanna say and what you want the audience to feel.
- decide on a main theme (like love, death, discrimination)
- decide on form (either go with free verse which I recommend for beginners or use other forms like limericks, ballads or odes.)
- decide on techniques you want to use (like assonance, alliteration and such. Look it up)
- write, write and write
- leave it for a few days then come back and edit it (I suggest reading it aloud)
And there you have it. A jumble of words and sentences anyone with half a brain could call a poem.
Hope it helps
I agree, look some techniques up! If you want to learn rhyming and metered poetry, I can help (I think)!
Thanks for giving some tips, maybe I could apply them too :0
