In the space between our realms,
A delicate balance must be found,
She saw through rose-tinted glasses,
While my eyes remained shaded in doubt; profound.

Eternal and infinite is my domain,
Unyielding and unbound by time's mortal frame,
My vision vast, my ambition uncurbed,
A force that shall forever remain.

My power transcends the divine,
An existence beyond the worldly plane,
But with that comes a great and heavy cost,
A burden I must bear and forever sustain.

My soul, calcified by the chaos I command,
Is hardened by the thunder and lightning's sting,
Yet within the eye of the storm, you alone see,
The cracks in my facade, the wounds that still sing.

Amidst our solitude, I pondered
Upon the choices that fate had made
I knew of your unwavering spirit
But still, I yearned for you to have stayed

The fault is mine and mine alone
For I couldn't keep you near
I failed to guide and light the way
Now left alone with sorrow and fear

You spoke of a brighter future
An eternity, an ideal to come
A vision to transcend the mundane
But where do I stand in your sum?

You left behind a lifeless shell,
A hollow memory that I cannot avoid.
I never got to say a proper farewell,
All that remains is a longing and desolate void.

As I beheld the world I had begotten,
I pondered with a bated breath:
Why does your light still shine for me,
Why did you wait a lifetime, defying death?

Don't think that I was blind,
In this boundless chasm of space and time,
I left a morsel of myself for you,
To cherish in a world so newly sublime.

Half a millennium has passed,
And yet you remain,
A constant in my life,
A past that won't wane.

Why do you wait for me,
In this transient eternity?
In our vast and infinite universe,
Where everything fades and dies; fleeting.

Wistfully alone in this vast expanse,
The world fades into memory's trance,
All around me is the darkness' dance,
Yet it brings little misery to enhance.

One sorrow weighs heavy on my mind,
As I wander through this solitude confined,
I yearn to hear your wonderous stories,
For nothing compares to what's left behind.

You must comprehend, it was a sacrifice,
To save a nation from an imminent demise,
Her virtues were what I couldn't suffice,
Thus I did what was deemed wise.

For all that I have lost and left,
All that I will never see bereft,
I find beauty in the emptiness,
In the isolation that shall always be my quest.

Absolutely loved them. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but are all the poems dealing with relationships?

you are right, i had two of my favorite chars from a game in mind and since their past together is up for interpretation, i wrote about it. what is cannon is that one character chose to isolate themselves for 500 years, leaving the other behind. Thank you for the comment!
