I posted about this before. But it's pretty close to being PG, maybe having it change the descriptions as well instead of saying a Drug you smoke, it could say a plant you ingest, ie. Hemp. Even though it's not 100% accurate at least kids won't be asking parents "What is hemp?" Response is a plant. Follow up was "why does it say a drug you smoke"?

I'd say very good job with added features to censor the naming but descriptions could use a little bit of work. I appreciate your hard work. This game will eventually hit the top charts for sure especially if you plan to add console support

There is an option

#

I'll go and try it out but it's supposed to G the description and names too

#

I wondered about this too as if you include tobacco products, you need to identify that

I suggest having the ability to remove them completely later too

I don't agree with it but I can appreciate it

The game should not be played by kids anyway, it's an adult game with adult contents

It's not necessarily an adult game. 7 days to die is very similar. Post apocalyptic games are very enjoyable especially if you enjoy them, plus it holds important logical processing. When I was a child video games taught me a lot, especially how to spell and eventually a love for programming so I don't believe any game is technically adult unless it has specifically X rated content.

How do you figure that?

The game having tobacco and alcohol is what defines it by law as requiring notifying parents the game their child is playing contains those materials

I spend most of my time building up bases and my 10yr old launches the game to play on the same map with his character

He's quite young but is intelligent but once I gave him a few ground rules, he basically just does survival things

I'm unsure where the adult in this game comes in, aside from trying to understand real life mechanics and mostly adults with experience know how to do that

It’s a game with adult themes. Violence, gore, drugs - doesn’t that make it a game for adults? In my opinion, yes.
We could go on about the meaning of the word “adult,” but this isn’t the right place or time for that.
If a kid is smart enough to understand that they’re playing a fictional story, then there’s no need to tone down descriptions or anything else.
It doesn’t really matter how something is said, as long as the concept is clear; and if it isn’t, a more toned-down description won’t help.
The parents simply need to do their job and explain to the kids what they’re seeing.
All of this has nothing to do with the videogame, which isn’t made to teach kids how the world works.
That’s the parent’s job.
Just my opinion.

you can set the zeds to 0% fwiw

also my kids both have autism and ADHD so it's a daily thing for me to try and learn with them as the apples never fell too far from our tree, so to speak

my kids are..gifted, is what ppl like to call them. Very conceptually driven too, but big imaginations that can scare them.

So yes, the enjoyment of my world for my son is to have Sims Life: Apocalypse world running

most of my karen runs here are purely for testing and engagements, but my world i build for future cosplay is geared to both him and I (he doesnt like violence and conflict, will skip paw patrol when something is wrong and isnt quite right to him...)

oh and he knows how to use God mode so he just makes himself invisible to the zeds
