#Player objective (a motivator)

This is one i struggle in project zomboid with too after several hours, basically no objective in sight apart from "survive". Apparently, after a while the time between survive and needs can be huge. So here is an idea for a "player objective".

Add in so that the radios are NOT just for communication across the map and so on, BUT to get objectives as well. Like you tune it on and can get signals and so for specifics. Same with car radio when switching channels. 1 channel simply being used for "objectives". Those objectives should have unique loot too so people are incentivized to do them.

Here are some examples:

  1. A radio received says that you gotta go to [city] and power up a house for 1 to 5 days. During that time, when you first power it up, zombies will arrive relentlessly more and more. If during the 5 days it doesn't power down, you can open a case (randomly spawned and marked), which can call in a tank. The tank however is in poor condition so you need mechanics, etc. to change it's parts with possibly other tanks gotten earlier OR some compatibility stuffs found in garages/vehicles. (the tank should have walkable interior, munition is craftable but costly)
  2. A man got lost in the woods, they are presumed dead, but it is unconfirmed. If you retreive a blood sample from their body and put it in a specific post, you did the mission. The reward is some supply package of food or water or medicals, but in considerate* amount.
  3. Medical transport. You find a truck filled with medical supplies. The goal is to transport the truck to a goal where it is said to be taken care of later. The truck however is in hella poor conditions and 0 gas in it, but due to packaging security you cannot take the medicals out of it's back so you gotta fix it up too. The reward is a minigun and minigun repair kit. A minigun not being able to be acquired in any other way and durability draining fast.

  1. A murder mystery. During the breakout a critical scientist was murdered in their home. They are said to be a runner zombie, due to some self experiments gone wrong. Their senses however are not clean. You have to get their ID and put it into a selected container without killing them. (looting them while they are active). The reward, a zombie virus cure in early stages, BUT the bloodtype must be matching for it to work.
