Open settings -> bindings. If Tab is bound to any key, unbind it and click Apply. Attempt to bind Tab to any game action, and note a message claiming Tab is bound to Inventory. If Tab is then bound to Inventory after unbinding 'I' and clicking Apply, the Inventory entry then disappears from the UI altogether. Reset to Defaults restores the Inventory action's visibilty.
