once sewer and roads start to flare up from cold/busted pipes, infrastructure alone would cause a lot of localized flooding after a few years
it wouldnt take much for snow not to go aanywhere
we also like to build up along river banks
after a while that stuff starts to backfill without ppl handling pumping stations

yea mb i didnt know earthquakes and tornadoes werent common there i didnt really know about new england's weather but that idea is pretty cool

Having enormous amounts of snow that could trap you in your base, or out on the road if you're unlucky, would be amazingly atmospheric and dangerous.

Would be so great to have to seek shelter in a random building and having to wait the storm out, hearing the wind howling in corners and banging the roof 😁 and if you were forced to get inside a building that has no place to sleep... You'd just have to spit at the roof to pass time 😆
