Visual dirtyness and wetness status indicator for clothes.
For example like the condition status bar, could be a brown bar for dirtyness and a blue bar for wetness.
I attached a briefly photoshopped screenshot as an example how it could look.

I love this. The triple bar is very nice.. Could go even further!

My reasoning is that All green would mean perfect working order.
Some brown would bring down the usefulness/stats of the jacket, and water would make that even worse.

personally I think we just need 2 bars, 1 specifically for condition, and 1 for both wetness and dirtiness. Typically wetness only really matters for cases where we need to dry, and dirtiness for all other cases.

The goal of the idea was to make it as simple as possible for the player to see how dirty and how wet a piece of clothing is.
Since a piece of clothing can be dirty and wet at the same time, I think a combined bar for two or more values will make it complicated.
Also, the current UI provides the space for three pars, so why not use that available space efficiently.

I wouldn't take it too far, the goal wasn't changing any game mechanics or physics, just provide better visuals of already available information to the player.
