That’s true, but before cooking a soup e.g. carrot soup, you should slice the carrot first. This way, you get 8 carrot slices and can cook 4 portions of carrot soup instead of using a whole carrot for just one soup.
And don’t worry, the hunger satiation is the same for both soup variants.
