with the waiting process off turning logs into charcoal then getting refined charcoal , do you think the timer would go higher than 8 seconds per refined coal being used in a forge?
only asking because of the amount of refined charcoal you got to get just to get the amount of temperature to start smelting the likes of iron,steel etc.

you shouldn't need very much charcoal/refined charcoal. In this video I ended up only using about 10 of each... It's old but it should still be relevant: #vein-videos-streams-etc message

you don't technically have to stay and watch but you'll save a lot of charcoal and be able to smelt way more stuff

i been maxing in there and walking away, sometimes the items don't smelt, so i'm guessing it's got to be a max amount per stack

I haven't used the forge in a while and as you've seen things have changes (plastic is no longer 2800 degrees lol)
