#Large planters invisible plants

I used world generated large planters at a house in Redford over by the Fire Dept and planted some carrots and I think a potato. I was in the process of moving from one house to another so I left the house and went over to the other house over by the baseball diamon and the pet grooming shop. When I returned the planters were empty. I'd made sure the plants were watered before I left so I figured it was just a despawn thing. So I go to replant but I can't because the planters say there's still plants growing in them. I can't remove the soil either because it thinks there are plants still in it. I haven't tried it with player built planters, but I'll update with the results.

Update: it is the pre-generated "gardens" doing it. I built a large planter and tested it, went back to the same place I was before and even stayed the night there in case that was the trigger, and my player built planter worked fine. I also tried the other smaller in-game planters, the medium sized ones I believe. Planted onions in them and one did the same thing and in the other the plant still existed. It wasn't fully grown yet as of the last time I was in game so I don't know if it will be harvestable or if I can replant in it. I'll keep testing and see if I can replicate it with any player made planters or if it stays isolated to the pre-built assets.
