Are you on normal branch or Canary branch mode? If on normal mode that yes would be a bug, but to most it's been fixed before & you should be able to stick any other battery of the same type inside the phone or tool used for it if having one spare.

i'm on canary, had just downloaded the newest update which resolved my fps issues but introduced this one

Yeah Canary will have more issues on it than the normal branch mode. Hope the team fixes your issue 😄
