The current distortion effect looks cool and all, but the players vision is too distorted when trying to look through any window. You can hardly make out what's on the other side of the window from either the outside or inside. I'd propose a much subtler effect for realism's sake.

Yeah I'll post a screenshot when I get home. It seems its pretty distorted even when its not raining. The rain of course, make it more distorted

Take a look at the 2 screenshots. It's not raining and even pretty sunny. One image the glass window is intact and the other with the glass shattered for comparison.
