When making multiples of the same bet (say 5x R1 slam) each bet beyond the first should cost more than the one that came before it. For example: either a straight progression (like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), or a compounding one (like 1, 2, 4, 8, 16). Paired with the lower cap on payouts (50 per side bet), this should result in less people just YOLOing points on low risk, high reward bets.

Sure, but that still a 1:50 easy yolo with no real consequences (arguably even less consequences than it has now, because you can't even lose points doing this, as long as to pick the right winner), so you see people just jumping on the bandwagon because everyone below them is doing it and they want to avoid the upset.
