In pbd10434 in the new UI the space cannon ui does not show NRA's shot on MR (perhaps because winnu also has shots there)
there's a pds2 on 104, so there should be an NRA shot on MR
Can you please add titans' hero ability somewhere (after it was played)?

Can we get debts displayed in the hand section of the right tab? Feels relevant it being a quick reference to important info, and in particular to my game I wanted an easy way to view all debts owed to me.
Had to swap to old ui for quick info on it or to hover each player
surprised. it isn't already, do you have a game id?
You can see debts owed by to you in your player area in both new and old UIs
Neither UI display debts owed to by you for now, for that you have to look at each other player area
Noted although due to how the bot tracks hero usage this is a little harder than you'd think
I'll put it on the list but might take a bit before it's done
mb, in my previous, I swapped round "owed by" and "owed to", pls disregard it
The planet the token is on could be an indicator. Probably easy to add a specific player param for you to choose to display it

- in particular experiment with hovering over units to glance at player information
- I personally play with the left sidebar hidden because my screen real estate is not huge, keep the right one open most of the time
- use ''h" if I want a bigger map view.
- but if you hover over a 'creuss' unit you'll get creuss information, etc
- so if you experiment with as you're analzying a play just hovering over units to see the player info, i've found that to be the most efficient path
oh and try on map movement when you have a moment. its rather beta but its pretty cool ^^
what would you prefer? esp if we do WASD
option to pin the left sidebar (so it operates like the right, map can't slide under it)
t and h are what I'm trying a naturally - really, just any single key over a key combo is better imo
strength tab is set to "s" which conflicts with wasd 🙂

I'd use the tech tab much more often than tech overlay, for example

Can it be made way more obvious if a relic is exhausted? I think it maybe is slightly shaded but tbh I cant tell. it was very obvous on the old UI

If anyone is having trouble with the new site and web UI images refusing to load after the recent server migration, and you're running a PiHole or other DNS filter (maybe even some custom DNS servers that offer filtering, like Cisco Umbrella, OpenDNS, SafeDNS, and the like), you might need to whitelist bot.asyncti4.com to get it to work again.
came here to also say it's a tad misleading that most things (legendary planets, agents, technologies) show when they are exhausted, but relics always have the appearance of "ready", can lead folks to make mistakes.
for instance oh no, my opponent has Circlet of the Void, i have to be vigilant against him flying cruisers through that supernova. oh wait it's already exhausted, i'm safe for this round.
hate to break it to you, but the ignoring anomalies ability doesn't exhaust. that's a passive ability that can still be used even if the active ability has been exhausted. same as self assembly routines still gives a tg when a mech dies, even if you used it for your free mech that round already

If an ability doesn’t require a card to exhaust, then the card being exhausted no bearing on that ability’s function
(That’s the rule for Age of Exploration with DET as well)
Not sure if it's related but for last 2 weeks or so the maps are refusing to load when I'm on mobile network, only loads on wifi

it should - it just remembers it as a % of the browser width, so if your browser size changes then it might be bigger/smaller.

I'm working on a new rendering mode that is a bit more like the classic UI and letting people choose -- renders everything on a single pannable page rather than having sidebars. will be curious to hear what people think of it.
@slate rune saw that franken icons should have started working. Tried to update my single franken game and the icons disappeared completely🙃

Map website link no longer works on mobile, I just get this and can't scroll, even in desktop mode

OldUI, the bot just builds the full image and sends the single file.
You might be able to use the emoji images in the bot repo instead of the discord url, which should cover most/all uses
Maybe. It seems like literally any emoji is allowed from discord
It is, but will fail in some aspects if the bot isn't on a server that can see an emoji
Anytime the bot actually tries to use that emoji (as an actual emoji, outside of drawing the map), it won't work.
And, I believe, errors will tell the user to change it. I forget how far I got with handling those
But they're rare, in any case. It requires a user to have nitro to even set an outside emoji

very very minor quibble: in Age of Fighters, the unit limits are not reflective of what has been purged
for instance, here I should have lost my flagship and only have 2 carriers left, but the UI suggests I still have those units available

I of course don't like it doesn't show the icons, but guess, it's only for the countries that have Discord banned and also only for few that can't install the VPN at PC.. don't think high enough priority to think about it that much

oh i see, pc VPN. harder to do on phone admittedly
Android allows to tunnel selected apps connections.. windows does not, so if I use VPN there, you have to toggle back and forth
Also currently I only have corporate PC which just disallows any personal VPN completely😅

Definitely a nit, but in an 8 player game the objectives get squished by the player tiles quite a bit

In my game (pbd13596) I was using the planet type filter and I noticed that on The Devils tile (205) the planet types filters for Ashtroth and Abaddon were switched (red <-> blue)

The Sol Agent image is massive and throwing the whole popup off. It might be a recent change, because I don't remember it happening before. Looks like the source image is just bigger than the others:

What do the Grey grid lines on planets mean?
A unit on that planet has Planetary Shield
I can see a game I'm not in (pbd12770) from the tabs of games on the top. I'm on mobile right now, so this is a dropdown for me now when I took the screenshot:
Try clicking on the red x next to the said game name, it should disappear from the list

No not that I am aware of, first time I saw this was right before I reported this. On PC I know for a fact that I only saw 2 games there yesterday. Today I am only on mobile, and saw there was 3 games when I only have 2 active games

I see Gray grid lines on lots of planets that do not have, nor never have had planetary shield. Is that a bug then?

The Law Conventions of War is in play. It prevents bombardment of cultural planets. That's what the grids on the map highlight. It's on the old UI as well.

It looks like the PDS coverage doesn't account the Starfall Array. On the attached screen I have plasma scoring and starfall array, but in terms of dice count one of those is not accounted. I see plasma being accounted to other players, and my 3 pds has the same expected hits as other players, so I assume it is the array that is not accounted.

I have PDS on Primor (2), 206 (2) and HS (1) - just for clarity as the coverage kinda makes them difficult to read.
tagging @chrome ember on this one (the pds values per system are computed on the bot) would you know?
@slate rune every time i look at the new UI it's better than the last time. great work to everyone involved 🙌 my only issue has been with the readability of the fighter and infantry numbers. in my experience they're either the wrong color, or as you can see with Nomad's units the number is really fuzzy and hard to read

i'm using Chrome on an aging Macbook 😅 i wouldn't be surprised if that was the issue. come to think of it, that's caused issues with other websites before

sounds like whatever version you're using doesn't adequately support the -webkit-text-stroke property which is what's giving the outline
I still think even with the proper stroke rendering the font readability in the new UI isn't quite as crisp as old UI, but it should be readable vs what you sent me is ineligible

I would be concerned because the Combat value says "70" which is not a value possible on a d10. Since I'm hovering over it in my reinforcements prior to building it, I would expect to see something like "7 (x *)" where the asterisk references the number of opponent non-fighter ships.

It looks like planet cards are not shown correctly in the new UI if they are readied or exhausted. Here is a comparison. For example Arinam is readied and Velnor is exhausted but looks the same in new UI. It is the same in both my games and map refresh didn't help.

Tried the first game and it doesnt work on both of my mobile browsers, but it works when I activate the PC version on each
So the problem might come from the mobile version of the site

sorry not trying to brush you off. will try to see what I can do but sounds like a more localized problem. runs fine on firefox on a variety of devices I've tested, and ironically the "map" area is far less graphically heavy than the player areas (where you see more lag)
I did a lot of performance improvements for mobile that. I plan on 'porting back' into the desktop code. Perhaps when I've finished all that, you'll see better performance. I'll let you know and ask to test and see if it helps 🫡

I'm using android version of chrome.
I tried to open it with desktop view setting and then it works just fine. Planets are shown as exhausted as they should. It seems there is some problem with the mobile version of the site only. It was the same problem regardless what mobile browser I used as long as it was the mobile and not desktop version I opened.

Getting this error on the website repeatedly, game pbd14217. Seems to happen when I'm zoomed in manually by pinch and zoom, but I'm always zoomed in so not sure if that's related. I'm on the most recent version of chrome on desktop.
Did something change in the bot links? I used to always open OldUI and now suddenly I always open NewUI. I can't find a way to save my preference or anything, but on mobile it opens NewUI which is not useable at all for me, so I have to click "Go To Old UI"

It's too big, the panels aren't very easy to navigate. But mostly everything is too large and I can't find the information I'm looking for effectively
However, I'm not very interested in trying to fix that problem, the old UI works just fine for me and I'd like to default to that if I can

The layout looks nice, however, it feels like the same information takes up about 1.25 to 1.5x the space. Simple things, like the POs look really crisp, but the tokens work just fine on the original.
The part I don't enjoy is I can't seem to easily see the Unit techs people have. The remaining plastic is much bigger, but it feels like more real estate to relay the same information

i hear you loud and clear about the excessive whitespace. will continue tinkering with it. goal is to keep horizontal layout of items rather than "head tilt" text, so a little compromise is necessary, but I agree it's not striking just the right balance currently
Sorry to come off very cynical, you're quite open to feedback so I'm trying to give as much as I can in an objective honest way. I think if the tech all had a consistent background color, then if you highlighted the background of the units with that same color, it might be more clear
before you give up on it. can you refresh on your mobile? I just pushed a huge number of small tweaks for mobile that should make it significantly more compact and usable,. I think the information density now approaches the old UI (although not identical)
for clarity will still do the "remember old UI preference"
(still more work to do to be clear)

it's a known bug on mobile, top of the list for me to fix. just been on an int'l work trip but should have some time here shortly (maybe even right now!)

Firstly, stellar job on the new site. Looks just awesome, thanks for your effort.
Now I'm not sure if these have been mentioned, excuse me if they have:
- on my phone - the old website allowed one to click on the POs and get details of what they are. I don't know what all the POs do, so that was really helpful. This feature is no longer there.
- when I zoom in on my phone, I cannot scroll to any of the pages borders.
- on the phone, when clicking some of the techs, part of the tech description goes off screen.

just saying all the above is acknowledged and i'll fix bugs as a priority particularly around new TE content
Really love the new map layout! My only issue is that I play with Anarchy Strategy Cards and they do not show up properly. Map thinks we are using Base SC, so even though 5 is actually Construction and 9 is Technology, on the Player Area tab Trade information comes up when clicking on 5 and 9 has no information at all.
On that, a QoL that would be nice to allow hover (or click) on the Map Tab to be able to read the SCs as well. Again, LOVING the new UI! Taking some getting used to, but from someone who is change-averse, this is great! 😍
Not certain this is a UI issue or Bot issue, but the Neutral Bot for Minor Factions showed Carrier II, Destroyer II, and Fighter II Unit Upgrade Technologies, but was never given those. Also, tried using /tech_remove and it came up as "NULL". Allowed me to /tech_add Cruiser II to give that Unit Upgrade, but when I tried /tech_remove Cruiser II, it came up "NULL" again.

Not trying to be a no change boomer or anything, but just usability feedback on the new pannable mode.
I was excited to try it but found it to be still a bit painful for me. I distilled it down to this issue.
In the old UI, It's very reasonable to expect to see and be able to read ALL the player area at the same time on one screen.
This is possible in the new pannable UI to any readable degree due to the dynamic scaling and flex on all the elements.
I realise the issue I'm bringing up is a massive can of worms. I'm a web dev also... Maybe it's just too high a padding percentage or something

I guess it's just riding that line of making it look really aesthetic and pleasing to the average joe, vs having all the data available at a glance and being a little bit counter to UI design principles.
Like a public facing website vs a SCADA system where the technical users know what they're looking at and don't care if its ugly in service of finding info quicker.
If you use the grid view enough I think it actually allows fitting more information with all the layout tweaks than the old UI which has everything vertical and forces a lot of space in between the main content and the army stats

Yeah grid view is totally perfect on my monitor. I'll get use to where to look for what info soon enough, not worried about that aspect. Not sure if I'm preferring the idea of the stacked players more due to objective things like an inherent order, colomnar viewing of similar stats etc etc or if that's just being too used to it bias. That bit I'll gauge for a while in my pannable grid mode!
I'm eager to see how it'll come together on smaller screens like phones, if that is in the pipeline. That's when the data density issues will really be a struggle

Just noticed something very weird: Qhet has a Custodian VP, but they are not even in the game... And every time I click on the tab with the other game (where they are and have a vp there) and then click back to the game without them, one more imperial point they earn - in both games! Pretty OP, to win with them just switch tabs 😉

When I zoom out a lot to see the entire map on one screen (or use my ultrawide) I notice that the new ui just shrinks all of the components but doesn't really show you any more zoomed out
in the old ui, you can get a good view of all the play areas just by zooming out. Especially when you are on a vertical 16:9 monitor

in /gateteen we have this weird logo on the imperial box
probably because lime was eliminated, and they had 1 VP there
If you go there once then you have it correctly only 2imperial on proper game. But do as follows:
Open the game with Qhet. Close all tabs on the top other than this single game. Open the other game. Have exactly those two games opened. On both games switch tabs to "Objectives". Switch between games using tabs without refreshing the games and observe. Any page refresh makes the game back to normal.
It doesnt happen after switching tabs once, but since you do it two full cycles it starts to getting weird. I only noticed it because I was actually calculating endgames in both games so I was switching constantly with no refresh

Would it be possible to gray out the factions that have passed in the General Overview area of the new UI? Right now, all faction symbols remain colored, making it difficult to see who's passed without going to the individual Player Areas.
The AC and objective decks in the General Overview don't seem to have card counters, while all the other decks do. Is this by design, or a bug? Also, the SO deck counter is set to 0, when that deck is definitely not empty.
In fact, almost all the card counters appear to be wrong. Cultural should have 4 (indicates 4), industrial should have 7 (indicates 12), hazardous should have 6 (indicates 10), and frontier should have 10 (indicates 14).

Haven't tried it yet, tbh. Will give it a whirl over the weekend.
The nice thing about the old UI is that all information is present in a pretty compact area. So when you're recording you can, with a bit of creative shuffling, have all info on screen in a static setting, without having to manually intervene. The compact information leaves enough room to dedicate a nice portion of the screen to Discord, so then you can follow the game in it's entirety. I'll check if I have some screenshots I can post to show you what I mean.

There's some fluff in there that could go, but this has the advantage of showing all relevant info, including the Discord channel, in a compact enough area to fit on one screen.
Looking at the new UI, the pannable version, the elements are much bigger. This means that if I want to fit them all into the single screen for recording, I'll have to make them so small they'll probably be unreadable. Or sacrifice the left hand side of the screen. I'll need to fiddle with it a little.
So this is what it would look like with the new pannable UI. It's definitely not bad, I think the faction areas are a little harder to make out, but they weren't super readable with the old UI either. This actually works much better than I expected.

What might help is if the information on the faction area was more spread out to the right, so that the font could be a little bigger. For the objectives it might be helpful to be able to hide the objective text (only displaying the title) so that fonts there could be bigger.
That said, this isn't half bad at all. There's only so much you can fit on a screen of any given size.
@little iron would recommend the midnight theme or the dark theme rather than the green theme for this display might be more legible

I really love the new mobile layout, btw. It does a good job of sticking to the easy, pannable feel of the old UI while introducing some of the best features from the desktop new UI.

Yeah, that could work if I also make the map smaller. Question is then of the objective display won't be too small.
I've done 3 recordings so far together with a group that did a couple of real time async games. I got the streaming idea after watching a few of the tournament games that used TTS.

Ooo, I like that. On mobile 90% of my time is just strategizing with the standard pannable map overview. Having to go to a menu for deck info and overlays sounds reasonable. At least on paper.

We've kind of already worked through some UI issues in the past.
e.g. When we started showing faction techs on the OldUI, we were showing them all the time but there were complaints about the duplication being confusing, even with them being offset and coloured differently.

Which parts? I can probably help decipher. The franken factions are essentially the same as normal factions, just with some workarounds to customize the display, most notably just the faction icon
sounds like there's three versions. you have the 'default' icons. then you have 'emoji' but then also random discord url
atm it supports default and discord urls but emojis are not properly shown
but its confusing because i think emoji doubles down as a term for the 'emoji font' and also for the 'discord emoji' (which does work)

We did an all TE game with nucleus draft.
The new UI is also showing a "Dicecord" user that the old UI doesn't. That, I assume, is due to Luckaholic not getting loaded in properly when the draft finished.
Actually, <@&1166011604488425482> , this is apparently not an uncommon occurrence for Luckaholic to not get setup after a draft and need to deal themselves in. Could you see if there's anything obvious about their info that might be causing that? Quirk of their discord ID? Corrupted player preferences or something?

Seems the UI is frozen on a previous turn. Still shows Mirevda as Active player, even though we are about to come back to their turn. No updates from their build tried closing out and reopening, have clicked "Refresh Map" several times. Even X'd out the map and reopened Website View several times. The map is legit on the bot-map-updates, it shows correctly - just the UI not updating.

Im playing NRA and believe the exploration decks aren't being shuffled after being used. I've gone through the deck 3 times now and then cards seem to be in the same order (not counting the fragments ive used).

Doesn't the "show explore decks" just show the order of cards by chance of them being drawn? So if you're constantly cycling the same discards into new decks, those chances would remain constant.

Issues with the score breakdown section
- the score breakdown track only goes to 10 in 11+ VP games
- some components arent put in the proper component type box

Feature Request: Is there any way that the player side panel could show what that faction's PN does? That is the one item that I keep forgetting about and need to read the wiki to remember what they are. Not sure exactly how one would show it since you wouldn't want to imply that player still possesses their PN (and perhaps this is why it doesn't exist yet).
Would be nice if the naaz’s BT super mech was more obvious. Only indication rn is the small blue border around the BT in the play area, easy to miss.

I dunno if this has been mentioned before, but I was thinking about how in physical games many people use little unit stands for space units to help separate things. I wonder if we could mimic this in the UI by giving a toggle to hide space units, so you can more easily see tokens and planetary units.
Because I think with TE we are gonna have more situations where tokens are covered up.

I miss not being able to look at PNs of each faction in my game, being able to click the unpicked strategy cards to enlarge and read them, and click the objectives to have their description show up

New ui shows wrong completed expedition. I tried refreshes and different zoom levels (which moves the wheel around) but it stayed the same. In the pics you can see that one of them shows firmament on TG (wrong/new ui) and others on SO (correct/old ui) expedition.
I know how to move the system to another corner but I guess this is unintentional 🙂

pbd5363: In the new UI, the expedition tracker is in the way of the map. Where it is on the map changes as I zoom in and out, but it's never not covering some tiles. The old UI is fine.

Just want to report an issue with Oluz Station. It appears as readied in the new UI (wrong) and exhausted in the old UI (correct). Both pictures from the same map generation.

Also, not sure if it goes here, or just generally in bots and bugs, but we're still picking strategy cards at the start of the game, and Populate the Outer Rim is one of our objectives, but it's saying that Crimson Rebellion is at 1/3, so I think it's either counting the breach token as a unit or it's counting The Sorrow as the home and not the actual home system.

For this, I did swap their home system with Malice's position, so it was on the same side of the board as their slice, so that could be part of the problem.

promissory notes in hand are not shown anywhere. promissory notes in people's play area are shown in the same location as secret objectives and relics
Yeah so in old ui you could see what everyone's PNs were so you could read them to know what they did. I can't see where they're located in new ui

i think all the abilities we drafted display properly, except for the basic wavelength/antimatter. well, no one has antimatter yet, but two people have wavelength and it shows on old ui but not new ui.

- TF expedition tile placed properly in firefox
- Space Stations now properly show control marker and show when exhausted
- Breach Tokens and Galvanize tokens now show in player areas
- Not leaking plot names anymore.
- Data updated (crimson flagship now shows correct combat value)
New UI still doesn't support galvanize showing but I sleep now. I think most bugs ironed out

It seems like the crimson rebellion's home system is slightly off center as far as unit placement and player highlighting goes.

I found a counterargument. Mallice bombardment shield (due to Conventions of war law) is displayed correctly in New UI, but not in old UI

All the decals have separate files for each unit type....
So if a unit type file isn't there it just doesn't get a decal

We are playing with TE but the new UI show description of the old warfare and construction SC. When played the correct card is shown in the action thread, it's only in the UI it is wrong.
We also see the old ones for TF, which is even farther removed from what it actually is 😄
@slate rune Have you looked at this? I can confirm no legendary planet ability is shown correctly (always readied) in my games as well when in mobile version of new UI. In desktop version it works though.

the rift is also barely visible there, so it's a double-whammy
yes i have coded tiles that basically avoid those areas but i haven't coded all the new ones yet
I guess another issue is the z index of the circles compared to other tokens
