Looking to do a standard alliance variant: https://twilight-imperium.fandom.com/wiki/Alliance_Game_Variant
But with frankendraz: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1w2hRGZviiVr51A7nKysD2ko8VxCLpQRoEPJsLVhp_NE/edit?usp=drivesdk
No whispers aside from allies.
I see 3 ways to do this, I'm open to discussion on what we all want to do.
- We do the draft normally and then choose allies after, showing what we have drafted and seeing who did the worst and gets picked last, just like in gym class.
- We choose allies before the draft, but draft blind, no discussion with your ally about what you're choosing.
- We choose allies before drafting, but do discuss with ally during draft.
In both options 2 and 3, allies are spaced apart in drafting order, so they don't pass anything directly to one another.
I'd like to keep the game going at a decent pace. I'm US timezone, but on the very early side, so EU works well too. Come with or without a buddy, knowing one possible variant is choosing allies post draft.
I'm also in favor of absol agenda and/or AC deck 2. Open to discussion.
I am thinking we should keep this to 3 teams of 2 for general speed and complexity reasons, but it would technically be possible to do 8 players, there's enough factions but I'm not sure how we'd handle slices. Something to discuss if there's interest. <@&1182131346504687688>
