Me and my buddy can join if there's room. I'm a relatvie noob (3 games total, 2 of them here), but he's got experience in IRL and also runing games here.
and he's played games with me so I can voucnh for his being tolerant and helpful to noobs 🙂

When starting a game you run the /game create_game_button command with the 6 players you want in. In terms of choosing the final 6 when there's extra interest, you just kind of have to decide somehow as game creator

A good practice can be adding a list that you update as you go to the top of the thread like so:

- Players
- Here
That helps people know if there is space left while the table gets filled. But yeah, in the case that you get too many players it's the creators call on who gets in, generally using a first come first serve approach in my experience.

But yeah, Quaddrummer mentioned the command to start a game, that will then trigger a new channel to be created and everyone you list to be added to it. The order of players doesn't matter at all there, we can set everything else up in the game channel itself.
You can edit your original post and add the list to the bottom, then edit it as the thread grows to list who has to claimed a spot.

I'm no use to this game if you need an ASYNC pro to run it, and he can't join that is.
But I can join if there's just room for one and someone else can do it.
I've played enough ASYNC to know basics with commands, I'm just not familiar with the "creating a game" part

My understanding is you kick it off, then once you have all your peeps committed, you change the title to "launched" so everyone sees you have a full roster.

You actually don't have to change the title yourself, it's a part of the launch process

I believe we just wait for a bothelper to come press the Create Game button and that will change the title and then create the channel. The three including you mentioned by the bot need to join the secondary server.

It is 11 here in iowa and midnight for those on east coast, so I suspect at some point those in America's will go to sleep. Are we kicked of at this point or is there something else we need to do to move this forward?
