It's a game with a lot of homebrew:
- Discordant Stars factions
- Spiral Map
- Absol Agenda & Relics
- Extra wormholes
- 2 Wormhole Nexuses
- Obelisks (Rigel 3 is worth 1 VP)
- Installations (Some empty tiles grant special abilities)
- Envoys (Agenda-phase leaders)
It's the Status phase of round 3 currently, and Ghoti (orange) is in 2nd place, albeit with 2 one-way supports, so quite fragile. Gledge (rainbow) is strongly in the lead, but players have started teaming up to take MR and other systems from them soon.
The Ghoti faction is really fun, with a movable Home System where your Flagship is, which has production. I've gone full blue tech to enhance the mobility. Most of the other factions in this game are quite combat based.
Reason I'm dropping out is that a player (Mechatronics, blue) has declared a one-sided blood feud with me (unprovoked in my opinion), and is trying to wipe Ghoti off the board. I've withstood one attack hoping he'd calm down, but he vowed to go on, and it's sucked all the enjoyment out of the game for me. Trying to survive a war I didn't want to be in has caused me a ton of anxiety whenever I see a notification from this game, and no matter how much I enjoy the Ghoti it's not worth my mental health.
I'm not sure whether my replacement will have to deal with the same, or whether the blood feud will be given up, but be prepared when joining that you might have to be constantly vigilant.
