Looking for my first async game. We will
play to 10. Familiar with TI4 but never played async and limited experience with discord bots. Hoping to find someone willing to help run the game and be patient with a newb. Central US time (UTC-6) and able to check daily, at least, and often more than once per day. Thanks!

I guess since it's a learning game for a bunch of us maybe playing with all reaction windows is good to acquaint ourselves. That's a super clever option to have though, for a server like this. I bet it would speed things up dramatically if people are ticking a lot of times a day.

Usual way I've seen is to wait for the reactions of those somewhat involved (i.e. hit by an 
or near to the impact) if it's a minor thing and no sabotage is to be reasonably expected to be played on. At least in the early rounds, when it's less critical to get all eyes on an to spot the sketchy moves 😉

yeah so basically you just give a window to pass to people who actually matter and then move on even if the entire table doesn't and we're all good with that? Seems like a reasonable shortcut (at least for low leverage / early game actions, not for lategame)

so like someone is playing a no retreat card on another player's flag and dread, the entire table needs to pass. Someone plays +1 move to explore an extra planet, maybe let the person nearby pass only and it's fine
it's good that worst case is just a simple revert. This bot seems amazing from what I've seen so far from the video.
ngl it makes playing empyrean a little less attractive just cuz you could reasonably be expected to sabotage just about anything 😄 (but empyrean are still super fun so... worth it prolly!)

You usually have a pretty good feeling what will run the risk of sabotage by the table in general and what will interest only certain people 😉
But still always a good idea to wait for everyone to react on some cards and if only to give you plausible deniability when you do it on the one card that matters, that you don't want to be accused of sneaking past the table later 😉
But mostly judgement calls on this seem to work out pretty well

Too many games for discord to handle
500 channels before discord puts a stop to it. So about 200 games in parallel (eyeballing the general discussion channels) before the server is at its limit

yep. i turned the spectator role on and it's a pretty overwhelming list to scroll through. impressive to see how this has taken off.
