When the game comes out, its not fair to new players that we have a massive advantage. Thats why we can get our stuff a certain period of time after the game will be officially released, so that the advantage would not be too much. And we can keep the progress we did during the period we waited, so that we will still play, even if we know we are gonna get our stuff back after.
