I would like to get some clarity on what behaviors can qualify as the "use an object" action and as "other minor activity" in the ToV Players Guide.
Can you take the "use an object" action to interact with equipment, or only to interact with objects that can't be carried or wielded?
If you can "use an object" to interact with equipment, does that include drawing a weapon or donning a shield?
Is drawing a weapon a "minor" activity that can be done while moving, or does drawing a weapon have to be part of your action? For example, can you draw a weapon while moving, and also take the "use an object" action to interact with a second object, such as donning a shield, in the same turn?
If yes to all of the above, can a Spellwright Mechanist do all of the following in the same turn: use a worn item, like a ring, to cast an imbued spell, then use "interact with an object" as a bonus action to don a shield, and finally draw a weapon while moving?
For reference, see:
PG 137 for the time to don or doff a shield, listed as 1 action.
PG 214 for the definition of objects as "all items that can't be carried or wielded or items [sic]."
PG 228 for examples of "other activity on your turn" that "don't interfere with your normal action and movement."
PG 230 for the "use an object" paragraph.
