If a bard has the heroic boon Persistent Inspiration and they use Font of Inspiration to use their reaction to add a bardic inspiration die to an allies roll but the roll still fails do they get to keep that bardic inspiration die or is it wasted? Since giving bardic inspiration uses one of your uses of the die I can see it being different then font of magic where you would regain the use of the bardic inspiration. But I figured I would ask for clarity.
