Some players are unable to send invites to a club unless friended first. This has been seen across different devices so seems to be related to something else.

To my knowledge there are different settings that affect this.
The CC settings can restrict the ability to send invites to only owner, director etc and the receiving player can restrict it to only get invites from friends I believe
