issue: i use a ps4 controller which always worked and showed the correct input but recently it's been using the input for xbox- i've done everything i could to fix the issue but nothing worked

Issue: You messed up the controls again. I use a PS5 Controller and now all of the on screen controls show for an Xbox controller, the Quest button is different, the (not so) smart transfer is a different button and now I keep "sorting" instead of transferring which messes up my organization in the chests and this is just unacceptable. This has annoyed me enough that I'm just not going to buy the expansion or anything at all from you anymore.

Platform: PC (Game Pass)
Issue: I've played with a PS4 or PS5 controller since I got this game with no issue. Suddenly it will only show xbox control prompts. I've tried everything to change this and nothing works. Launching through Steam, using DS4, PS4 controller, PS5 controller, nothing. Only xbox prompts. This really needs to be fixed or have an override option for the prompts shown or something like so many other games do. I've never used an xbox controller, I don't know those prompts, I don't have that memory and it hinders my gameplay so much that I won't be able to play until this is fixed. Please fix this.

I updated my PS5 contoroller software and now the x button doesnt work in dream light! im so sad!!

Issue: I can’t get my character to consistently run. She either just walks, or randomly changes from walking to jogging for a quick second. It’s not my controller, I use 2 and the same thing happens with both. I also play on PS5 and have no problems

I can’t use my action button on steam deck! I cannot eat anything, but anything, or go into wardrobe or furniture mode. I can do other things like picking things up with the B button but nothing else! Please fix!! I cannot play.

Issue: still having input lag with my wired controller. This has been an issue since the Peter Pan update. I have an expensive, tournament edition controller that I can't even use with this game. I keep waiting for this to get fixed but it doesn't seem like it matters. I'm burning through batteries because I keep thinking the problem is going to be fixed, but it never is.

Issue: Fix the controls! The Left trigger is completely messed up. I can’t sprint unless I remap to the alternate sprint button and when in camera mode I can’t use LB to go back through the options as it changes the camera mode instead. The camera sensitivity is also messed up. The controls work fine on steam pc so it’s not my controller.

Issue: Please fix the Xbox controls. I can’t take pictures or sprint without it doing another action. When trying to sprint it opens furniture mode. And when trying to take a picture it exits out. It’s not my controllers, and I’m not the only one having this issue.

Seconded ^ It was happenign intermittently yesterday but now my controller isnt responding at all. Works just fine on other games.

Issue: Several times today my Xbox controller wouldn't work in the game. Unable to play. Each time this happened I shutdown game with keyboard/mouse controls, and then restarted game. Once restarted the controller would start working again.

Issue: Overlapping controller keys. The button to display villager/companion bonuses (D-pad right) is the same as the button to bring up the Star Path menu after task has been completed (D-pad right). Game prioritises villager/companion bonus display. These are separate on keyboard/mouse but controller has the overlap.

Issue: Input latency when giving controls. It takes a second for the character to respond when I move left or right stick, and if I let go the character or camera keeps moving for a second or two. I last played over a year ago and this wasn't an issue
