Apparently Norton thinks ddv.exe has the IDP Generic virus and that's what's stopping the game from loading. 🤦♀️

Okay. so the screen goes black and freezes after cooking for so long as well. Yeah this is getting really bad.

I'm having this same problem . Sometimes it's okay for a few minutes, then it completely spazzes out. I use a wired controller to play. The timed item drops that spawn chests are impossible for me. Sometimes, it's not even input lag as my avatar will randomly turn and run in a direction I'm not going.

Xbox Series X. I had to stop playing/streaming Dreamlight Valley on Wednesday because the game kept freezing when leaving a conversation or when entering or exiting a building or room or fast traveling. It's basically unplayable until this is fixed.
Hopefully they don't take 3 weeks to fix it because this is beyond frustrating.

I’ve experienced over 20 crashes tonight trying to play after update. I am trying to remember to save often. But the game freezes so much. Especially going in and out of places. But also fast traveling, talking to Wall-E, gifting, and changing outfits. Xbox Series X. Cloud save enabled. Decreased graphics to 720p. Still happening. Now frozen during dialogue and after finishing scramblecoin. Adding: it’s really discouraging we own the game across multiple platforms but it’s now completely unplayable.

My outfits are disappearing on my toon. You can see straight through my toons body. Seems to be issues with the flying companions. My dress was hanging on my butterfly companion. Very strange! Haha! I'm sorry I don't have video or pictures.

Hey, I’m on the Xbox series x, experiencing glitching with my spring flower fest outfit and shoes, my game also freezes when on loading screen too :/ had to redo some some parts to scars land when decorating too over and over again

Same issues as everyone here; as of the new update, the game crashes so often that it is truly unplayable. My crashes come from, but not limited to: opening chests, opening memories, using fast-travel, entering/exiting buildings/areas such as the Mines

Any time I try going into a building, my game freezes on the black screen. It froze 6 times in just one hour of gameplay and it doesn’t save my progress when it freezes so I have to start things over. Please please fix this. It’s been really bad since the Peter Pan update. It’s barely playable.

In addition to the crashing other people are reporting, I’m having crazy bad camera swinging when I’m not inputting from my controller, and sometimes input isn’t working (select an inventory or menu option and nothing happens, but back out and back in and it’s successful)

Same as others have reported, game crashes on loading screens constantly, having to force close the game so many times it’s becoming unplayable as I keep loosing progress. The game still seems to be running, music playing, just stuck on the black loading screen

Xbox Series X - I've been having quite a bit of control issues where I can't walk in a straight line. Basically if I try to walk past an object, the camera changes focus to force my character in the direction of the object. Before this update happened, the camera focus changes were usually just limited to when a villager was speaking to me.

I can't even go inside my house which has all my chests. It is frozen on a black screen everytime I try to enter. Freezes when opening inventory, interacting with companions, trying to name the Forgotten and befriending them

Since Peter Pan update, I have serious lag on my character: every single game works except this one.
I move my analog and my character moves 20seconds later. So it doesn’t go in the direction it’s suppose too, I haven’t even managed to start the quest or star path, I really don’t want to miss this one … I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I’ve changed the settings back to default etc. nothings working.

Issues with game crashing and lagging
Whenever i load into a building or teleport , the game will start loading black screen then stop and freeze which resets progress if i haven’t saved.

Now the game crashes when attempting to capture photos. Takes multiple restarts for it to allow me to take a photo.

And every time I've tried to go to Storybook Vale or Eternity Isle it's freezing my game up completely meaning I can't get to all my characters to complete star path without dragging them all back to my main valley, which I don't appreciate at all.

My game is crashing on my Xbox S about once an hour. It happens when I enter/exit a room, fast travel to another biome or to a dlc and also when I exit camera mode. I’ve been playing since 2022 and my Xbox would crash maybe once a year, if that. But since this last update it is crazy how much it is crashing. None of the other games I play on Xbox are crashing just this one.

Tried playing today and it froze in the cooking menu. Closed and restarted. Then it froze going into my house. I'm going to be furious if I miss the event and the star path because of this nonsense.

My game has been super laggy and glitchy since the Peter Pan update. It's almost like there's a few seconds of delay and my character moves around without me having her move. I can't catch snippets or walk strait. Nothing changed on my console besides the new update.

Done:
- turned on camera inversion in the settings
- game closed
- restarded game
Expected: - camera inversion remains enabled
Happened: - camera inversion is still on according to settings, but behaves in the game as if it were turned off
- only when I turn off the camera inversion in the settings and then turn it on again it works correctly in the game
- unfortunately the problem persists every time I close and restart the game

I cannot serve villagers in the restaurants. When I try to give them their order, and select the “give” option for the meal they want, it just backs out of the conversation and won’t give them the food.
In addition, I also cannot give items to villagers during quests, specifically food for Peter Pan for the “Real Hideout” quest.
I also suddenly can’t sell things to Goofy. My game is super broken.

Hi - i hope this is the right spot for this. I haven't played DDLV in like 9 months due to personal issues but also due to this? I have this error and no amount of retrying, restarting my computer, or updating the xbox app is helping. And the wifi isnt an issue. Microsoft is saying its an issue on their end.
