I can't even load the game. I did everything it said in the picture attached and then went to play the game and it just goes to a black loading screen with the DDLV loading image frozen in the bottom right corner. I have to close it then my computer wants me to restart it

Lots of lag after the update. Already lowered all to graphics to the lowest, and still can barely play. Just moving the camera or walking is enough to lag a lot. My fps are at the lowest they've ever been aroun 15/20 fps. I'm on PC.

Editing to note the game now crashes every time I open it. I get as far as the “continue” button and it crashes when the load bar is about half way done.

This happens nearly every single update for PC. Especially if it’s a major one and I can’t play (along with others as you can see). I will uninstall. Reinstall. Verify and repair. Nothing works. This shouldn’t be the norm with updates.

Today, I booted the game, got to the main menu, clicked "Continue," and after five minutes of loading it crashed. Issue: Crashes when fast traveling using wells or entering Scrooge's shop. Game will freeze and I will need to force quit in order to load back in. Never had this issue prior to the update. Update: So far since backing up my save, removing the game and all folders, then reinstalling, i have played for a total of 6 hours so far since and not a single crash/freeze, will keep playing tonight and see if it starts again.

Progress indicator Star freezing. Then music eventually stops. Game not responding dialogue appears and have to force close and restart. No consistency with buildings/ transitions and playtime noticeable. Seems to happen every 4th or fifth transition of play. Just started in game for me yesterday. Perhaps related to the summer event starting?

I find myself having to save every few minutes just to avoid losing progress, yet I’ve still lost some nice clothes and furniture because of these issues. So another update - have had more crashes this morning than I have had in awhile. Steam - PC.
Happens when I talk to a character or leave Remy's or my house. Happened in the last 30 mins at least 3 times.

Issue: I'm playing on my computer (Steam, big picture), and with a Switch Pro Controller. Since yesterday, for no particular reason, I can't use the L button on my controller - either to glide or to navigate menus, the game just won't recognize it. I know the issue comes from the game and not my controller as it works in the steam menus and I've tested it on switch games as well - and both of those work. Has anyone encountered this problem ?
I tried disconnecting my controller and reconnecting it, didn't change a thing, also rebooted steam fully. But sadly, didn't work. Would love if someone knows how to get rid of this but as I enjoy goin' fast. And navigating menus, y'know. So yeah. If someone can help, I'd be grateful!

Issue: Whenever I am leaving any kind of house, shop etc in Storybook Vale my game starts lagging extremely which sometimes leads to crashes. I either have to travel to another valley or restart the game every time I have left a house. This is going on for months. I‘m begging for a fix 😦

Played 73 hours over the last 2 weeks and since I bought and installed the expansions I literally cannot open the game. It goes to the loading screen (black with the white bar at the bottom) and just closes with no warning, no error code, no crash report, nothing. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, removing 1 or both (alternating) expansions, repairing, switching drives...literally everything I can think of. I spent $100 to get all the dlc since I was enjoying it so much and now I can't even play the base game. :/

Same as above. Constant freezing and crashing. This game has always ran terribly, with constantly frame-lag and stuttering, but this is a whole new level, with the game constantly locking up and freezing, and often outright crashing to desktop without even a 'this program has stopped working' window popping up, it just blips out and closes completely. I can just about get to the main menu, and that's only after putting all settings to their lowest point. I have no idea what broke in the latest update but it's making the game UNPLAYABLE

Every time I play this game lately i cant play without it glitching every time i start and end moving around in the storyvale area, at first it would fix if i fast traveled to the main valley or the isles, but that seems to be happening more and more often to the point that every time i go into a building or fast travel inside storyvale i have to travel to the main valley to reset and come back. closing the game and reopening does the same fix but it just takes too long making it near imposible to immurse myself back into the game. i have found moving to a realm like the lion king does not fix the glitch, i have to go to the main realm or the isles every time.

Reading above post, are they seriously dropping support for win 10? I get EOL for 10 is coming up, but really. DDV cant support it still?
Only thing that changed from one day to another when game started crashing a day or 2 ago i think was a windows update.
Which is somewhat unavoidable, which thanks microsoft for that... So update win to fix crash on 11. Avoid for as long as possible win 10 update or sayonara game

Issue: While trying to harvest garlic, everything stopped working. The only thing that worked was I could rotate the view camera, and glide (but character could not move or rotate despite gliding). I had a critter equipped.
Had to force quit.
Edit: Tried it again, and the issue repeated with this one piece of garlic. Same problems.
