When I am moving forward, if I swing my net, it actually swings to the left, enough that a snippet directly in front of me will not be caught.
So you can't actually just chase a snippet and swing when you are in range because you will miss.
Also it seems you also cannot be too close or you will also miss.

Issue: When getting bonus snippets my companion runs away to an area I am not in to disperse the bonuses. Sometimes it's not even the same biome. For example, I was catching frog snippets in The Wild Woods and Merida ran to The Bind (next to scrooges) to give me bonus snippets. I've also collected snippets from Elysian Fields and she ran down the hill to The Bind to disperse bonuses.

Cannot locate any Blue Demon Snippets in the Fiery Plains or Fallen Fortress even though those are the biomes listed for it.
Cannot therefore progress "A Moth to a Flame" by catching.
Ended up using White Birds Snippets from the Valley to craft Blue Demon Snippes.

Issue: My girlfriend has Merida as a Snippet Catcher, and has been encountering issues with her. When hanging out with her and catching Snippets, Merida will not follow, instead she will be running away, except she is spinning instead of actually running. Snippets will not be given until another action is committed ( fishing, teleporting to a well, et cetera ).

Issue: I have Merida as a companion for snippet catching. Every time she’s supposed to give me a snippet, she literally goes backwards towards her house, snd throws the snippet towards me, then she runs back to me. A bit fun in the beginning, now it’s annoying.

Issues: Demon snippets sometimes warp into rocks where they are inaccessible. Also, my snippet companion tends to want to run away into another zone when i catch snippets, which slows things down when I'm waiting for their bonus snippets.

I deliberately put down a Lure in the base game Plaze at time when there were zero white snippets in the Plaze area (or anywhere else I looked in the Valley) and the Lure still caught a white snippet.
Not clear if this is a bug but it should definitely be reworked since there is then no point putting traps or lures anywhere else except the Valley. Just collect white snippets and convert them into whatever you want.
The way lures currently seem to work is the snippets they catch do not change the count that is spawned so you can put down 4 basic Lures and collect 12 of any type of snippet (up to x2 for having a snippet companion) and still run around catching more.
Not sure if this is intended either but it makes collecting snippets way too easy and at least at this time, there is only finite use for snippets to unlock the storybook pages.
The concept of white snippets as a snippet conversion is okay IF they as rare/difficult to find, but Lures break this concept.

Snippets can (rarely) spawn offshore from The Bind. Saw a couple of blue snippets flying over a mossy log that had spawned offshore. Can't upload picture yet because of slowmode on this topic
(3) Today (Nov-24) snippet NPCs are not consistently running off to far locations to give bonus snippets. They seem to work fine a few times, and then start up that running-away behavior again.

Snippets spawning offshore in The Bind. Not clear if it is because they were somehow attached to the log that spawned there.
Later they somehow disappeared or flew away. Log has been there about 2 days, doesn't seem like it will reset and relocate elsewhere but the snippets managed to do so shortly after I took the screenshot.

When catching snippets, my brand new controller doesn’t respond to every button press. If I wind up once, the next wind up won’t respond to the button and my character kind of runs sideways. I also play on Xbox with controller and don’t have this issue.

Would also like to see the catch radius widened just a bit on the snippets - even when one is literally trapped right in front of me I often have to wave or twirl the net several times to actually catch it even though it looks like the net totally connected.

Issue: The royal net does not always respond to pressing the tool button. I have to press Y about 3 or 4 times before it swings, and it's not my controller. It usually works the first swing but then doesn't respond if I try to use it repeatedly. I thought it had a cooldown period at first until I realized it's not consistent and must be a bug.

At Slow Trap 40% speed reduction, frog snippets move more slowly as intended but their reaction time is also extremely slow. You can basically walk up and before they can jump you can just net them. They are practically sitting still.
Not sure if this is intended.
Bird snippets are constantly on the move so they are not affected in the same way.
Demon snippets don't move at all until you swing at them and then their teleport range and speed appears unaffected by the Slow Trap, so Slow Traps are completely useless against them.

Companions sometimes do not give bonus items at all for the duration of the time we hang out. They stop moving, and can be walked through. The only thing they do is move with me if I warp to a new well location, but will then remain stationary. I have to reload the game, hang out with them again, and re-trigger the bonus action, upon which they will give me all the missing items at once (pictured is Hades giving me 50+ frog snippets) but I also had the same issue with Belle as my gardening companion. All 200 sugar cane were only given to me once I reloaded, tracked her down, asked to hang out, and harvested another item.

Issue: Blue demon snippets stopped spawning in accessible areas. When attempting to catch them, they often go through environmental assets and don't re-appear. I also had one go through an asset, caught it, and it turned into a purple demon in on the catch animation.
Demon and frog snippets are also clipping through the ink into locked areas. Overall it is very frustrating trying to catch snippets because of their spawn issues.

Can no longer place Lure Traps in the Valley. This is fine, except the message overlaid on the furnishing item is "Outdoors only". This does not make sense since the Valley is "outdoors".
