PS5 - like others I am experiencing a ton of lag and freezing. Got a multi-burst from a tree where you need to keep pressing and only was able to get 7 of them instead of my normal 10-12. It seems the game freezes entirely and doesn’t allow any button input, so it’s not just a lag, it’s freezing. Making the game borderline unplayable.

My game is lagging and freezing anywhere between 2-3 times a minute to the longest stretch of 2 minutes.

As many others have reported, now the game is constantly dropping frames and freezing. Even when just walking around. Activities that require timing, like fishing are basically impossible to do.

PS5 - lags/freezes every 20-30 seconds, no matter if walking around, on a menu, anywhere...

Also, the freezes cause input lag, but background processes, such as the "multi-drop explosion" timers and timing circle movement for fishing, still run, meaning ... I haven't been able to complete a "multi-drop explosion" or catch a single fish since the update.

Per other bug threads, seems the freezing is related to Auto-Save

PS5 - Lots of lag with just the game running. Doesn't matter if I'm standing still or moving around the map, I can watch characters stop moving momentarily and then continue. Its worse when actually playing the game as the lag hitches last longer and are more frequent. Makes doing anything from interacting to maneuvering the camera impossible to deal with.

Issue: So so much lag and mini freezes. I won’t be able to play this update if it’s not fixed because the lag is so frequent. This is completely new for me after this update.

PS5: I have the same issue as many of you. Game freezing every 20-30 second, the game crashed just now when opening goofys stall. Its unplayable and really annoying. Before the update I never had this problem🥲

Lagging very bad like everyone else said. Never had this issue before the update…literally bought the PS5 version a few weeks ago due to the switch lag, just my luck. lol.

I thought this update was supposed to FIX those types of problems... NOT make them WORSE.

Same here. The game lags/freezes so often its frustrating and borderline unplayable. Makes catching fish extremely difficult and I missed out on so many of the timed items where you have to run to pick everything up before time runs out. So frustrating. Please fix asap.

PS5- lagging and freezing every 5-10 seconds. Thought it was a memory issue like what people suspected on Reddit. But my available storage is 237.9gb. So it’s definitely caused from the update. Haven’t played since Mulan’s star path, but I’ve never experienced lag like this before. And I was ab early access beta tester back on the switch… I can understand this happening on a switch cause of memory issues with lots of items being loaded, but not on a PS5 where I haven’t even started terraforming my village on this file.

Game use to auto save every 5 minutes but now after update it auto saves every 1 minute
and I noticed that's when my game lags and freezers when it saves.

PS4: crashed trying to fast travel from EI to the main valley and then immediately had to force close the app because feeding Nala in Remy's for a starpath duty froze my game completely.

Lag/freeze. Crashing from moving Vally to EL. Screen stuck when timon and pumba enter vally.

As a lot are reporting the freezing every 20 seconds. might be time to just confirm that the lag and freezing is being looked at at least.

Like so many others here I'm experiencing lag so horrible that the game is currently unplayable. I've also noticed that the game is constantly trying to auto save and will not sync to the cloud. I think that's what is causing the lag issues.

I play on PS5
This is a fairly new account I started for my grandson. I just finished unlocking scar and getting the portal cleaned up in the sunlit plateau. As soon as I did the game crashed and now when I try to log in all I get is a picture of fairy godmother's House coming to life and the game crashes. Tried multiple times and this is what happens each time. My other accounts work fine. It's just this one that's not allowing me to play. I hope you can fix this. I just paid money for moonstones on this account for him and now I can't even get in.

Issue: not a crash but don’t know where else to post this. Every single time i open my game the star is stuck in an infinite loading loop. I have to disconnect my ps5 from internet every single time i want to play dlv, and enable it during gameplay. From memory it started after that hot fix

Game randomly crashed after I'd finished the first quest with Olaf and asked him to hang out. When I opened the game again, it's trying to show me the first video out the pumpkin (never had any info about it before now) but crashes part way through the video and kicks me out. Went back, same thing happened. Can't access game at all

Ps4: there is so much lag that I took a break from DDV but with the new expansion coming out that I am excited for, it probally will not happen as it is so bad with switching from one screen to another. Just coming out of a house or store I am in a loading screen for like 5 mins and crossing my fingers that i do not crash. I have thought about getting the game on my pc, but I have played DDV since the beginning and have made so much progress, that i don't think it would sit with me well as I would have nothing from my current game. Please fix this lag or help with trying to get my account/stuff to my computer as DDV is a great game, it just sucks that I cannot play it properly.

Just had an awful game crash. Its the worst I’ve ever had. I tried to unlock the Forgotten Lands and as soon as it was going to unlock, crash. Now every time I try to load my game it crashes instantly and I can’t play my game at all.

I’m hoping this gets fixed asap because its my fave game right now. I don’t understand what happened.

It's very frustrating.
If you're in build mode and you're building the whole time and you leave build mode, the whole game freezes.
It won't load at all. Everything freezes and you have to close the game.
After that, everything you've built is gone…

This happens really often and it's not fun. Sometimes when you exit build mode it takes a long time to load but the game resets half of what you built.

Issue: game crashes after completing Olaf's quest. Initially it showed the cut scene like the video , but now it doesn't show it anymore . It finishes loading and crashes completely, becoming unplayable.

I'm not sure but I can't do the quest from timon on rafikis drawing and now it's crashing bad. I restarted it and when I try to press X to talk nothing happens and when I cant mine or anything. It's also opening up different screens randomly anytime I press square if that makes sense?

Issue: Game doing one of two things:

  1. not opening/loading at all. Doesn't get past the initial loading screen to the title screen.

  2. unable to connect to the internet (though I have a working internet connection)
